Hello and welcome to my website
I use the Triskele as my logo, which is an ancient symbol, also known as the Celtic Knot, as it is believed to represent a tale of forward and back motion to reach understanding, and the butterflies represents transformation, and my hope is to offer this to you. My practice is based in the North Coast of Co Antrim in Northern Ireland, and I practice online nationally and internationally. As I live and practice in the UK I am therefore governed by UK law and regulations.
Nature has been researched and known as an organic nervous system regulator, and as stated by Dr Stephen Porges , founder of the Polyvagal Theory, “connection” is a biological imperative, and I attach a photo of the North Coast of Antrim (below) of where I live and practice and invite you to notice its beauty and calming sensations, hopefully offering connection and calm as you access my webpage.
L3 certified IFSI therapist, IFS supervisor and Consultant working towards becoming an Approved Clinical Consultant. My main modality of healing is Internal Family Systems which is potent in healing, supporting forward and back motion, reaching understanding of your deeper psyche. Accessing deeper access to your inherent resilience “SELF” is transformational, see Introduction by Internal Family Systems founder, Dr Richard Schwartz at the bottom of the page.
I also integrate Sensorimotor Psychotherapy L1 qualified (Somatic), Polyvagal Trauma (Nervous System) and Neuro Somatic Mindfulness. Alignment and integration of our parts in the mind, body and spirit enhances coherence, offering stability and resilience.
I offer warmth, authenticity, congruence, confidentiality and a brave space in supporting you to get to know yourself in your journey to mental, physical, emotional and spiritual wellness .
I have been in private practice for over 14 years and over 7000 client hours which has supported me offering experience in anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, CPTSD, self esteem, resilience access, nervous system regulation, amongst many other psychological difficulties bringing rest and recovery to your nervous system and connection to your parts.
IFS as my main modality is a non pathologizing therapy.
Advanced IFS Areas of Interest
Alongside my work with Internal Family Systems (IFS), I have undertaken ongoing specialist training in Legacy Burdens, Unattached Burdens, Cultural Burdens and Guides through the pioneering work of Bob Falconer.
Sometimes the beliefs, emotions, patterns or ways of being we carry are not entirely our own. They may have been inherited through family lines, absorbed from cultural and collective experiences, or carried in ways that feel difficult to explain through personal history alone. Within IFS, these are understood as Legacy and Unattached Burdens.
This specialist area of work offers a compassionate and respectful way of exploring influences that may contribute to anxiety, trauma, shame, self-criticism, relationship difficulties, or a persistent sense of being stuck. With curiosity, discernment and care, we work together to identify what belongs to you and what may have been carried on behalf of others, creating space for greater freedom, clarity and Self-leadership.
I bring both clinical rigour and deep respect to this work, honouring the uniqueness of each person’s experience while providing a grounded, safe and informed therapeutic presence.
